The Memory Nest – Client Terms of Service
1. Our Role
1.1 The Memory Nest is an introductory service connecting families with self-employed babysitters.
1.2 Babysitters are not employees of The Memory Nest.
1.3 The Memory Nest does not supervise babysitters during bookings.
2. Rates & Payment
2.1 The Memory Nest publishes standard rates for bookings arranged through its platform.
2.2 Babysitters accept bookings at the published rate when they agree to undertake a session.
2.3 Payment is made directly to the babysitter following completion of the booking.
2.4 The Memory Nest does not employ babysitters and does not process wages or handle payment disputes.
2.5 Clients agree not to negotiate separate arrangements with babysitters introduced through The Memory Nest outside of the platform without written consent.
3. Non-Circumvention
3.1 Families must book all babysitting sessions through The Memory Nest.
3.2 Clients must not arrange direct or ongoing bookings with babysitters introduced via The Memory Nest outside of the platform without written consent.
3.3 Circumvention may result in termination of access to The Memory Nest services.
4. Vetting & Disclaimer
4.1 The Memory Nest conducts reasonable checks including:

Enhanced DBS verification

Right to Work checks

Reference checks
4.2 While reasonable vetting is undertaken, The Memory Nest does not guarantee the conduct or performance of any babysitter.
5. Parental Responsibility
5.1 Parents remain responsible for:

Providing clear instructions

Informing babysitters of medical needs or allergies

Ensuring a safe home environment

Emergency contact availability
6. Cancellations
6.1 Cancellation policies will be outlined at the time of booking.
6.2 Late cancellations may incur fees payable directly to the babysitter.
7. Liability
7.1 The Memory Nest shall not be liable for:

Injury

Loss
-
Damage
-
Negligence
-
Disputes arising between client and babysitter
7.2 Liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Complaints
8.1 Any concerns must be reported to The Memory Nest within 24 hours where possible.
8.2 The Memory Nest reserves the right to investigate and remove sitters where appropriate.
9. Safeguarding
The Memory Nest takes safeguarding seriously and may report serious concerns to relevant authorities where necessary.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
