The Memory Nest

All babysitters registered with The Memory Nest are expected to uphold the highest standards of behaviour when caring for children.

Babysitters must:

Always prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children

Treat all children with dignity, respect, and kindness

Provide age-appropriate supervision at all times

Follow parents’ instructions unless doing so would place a child at risk

Maintain professional boundaries with both children and families

Respect children’s privacy appropriately (e.g. during dressing/toileting)

Use appropriate language and behaviour at all times

Never use physical punishment, intimidation, or humiliating treatment

Never leave children unattended unless explicitly agreed and appropriate

Not bring unauthorised individuals into the home

Not use alcohol, drugs, or smoke while responsible for children

Not sleep while supervising children unless explicitly agreed

Keep personal phone use to a minimum and only when appropriate

Maintain confidentiality regarding family information

Immediately report accidents, incidents, or safeguarding concerns
Babysitters must NOT:

Engage in rough or inappropriate physical play
-
Share personal contact details with children
-
Take photos or videos of children without explicit parental consent

Post any information about families on social media
-
Form private working arrangements that bypass The Memory Nest

Accept jobs arranged outside the platform for families introduced through us
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in removal from The Memory Nest.
