About me:

Hello, my name is Kitty and I am a caring and enthusiastic nursery school assistant, studying Level 3 Early Years. My tasks include assisting with daily activities and preparing materials/activities for the classroom, supervising students, and preparing healthy snacks, meals, and nappy changing. My aim is to always provide an environment that is both safe and nurturing for children, whilst also having lots of fun! A keen painter and singer/songwriter myself, a large part of my role at nursery is to teach the children music and songs to aid with the topic we are learning about. Also being a passionate reader, I enjoy reading stories with any children I work with, expanding their imagination, communication and language.

My Childcare experience:

Currently studying Level 3 and working as an assistant nursery school teacher for 2-4 year olds. Tasks include all aspects of nursery life from painting/drawing/colouring whilst overseeing the art table, preparing activites across all specific key areas of learning, overseeing outdoor play, circle time, singing with the children, reading stories, nappy changing/assisting children to the toilet, preparing and serving healthy snacks and lunches, Forest School, day trips and outings on the school coach, safeguarding the children in my care, I am also the Fire Marshall at my current nursery setting.

What do you enjoy most about working with children?

Watching them develop and grow. I love to hear their own unique perceptions of the world and getting to know their developing characters. They can also be so funny!
