CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION POLICY

A deposit of the first hour of each individual sit needs to be paid upfront to secure the booking. This deposit is not refundable and not transferable for any day, time or reason.

We strictly enforce a 24-hour cancellation and modification policy for all standard babysitting bookings.

If the reservation is canceled or modified with less than the required 24 hours notice, the full remaining balance of the scheduled hours will need to be paid in full. Cancellations and modifications may only be made by speaking with The memory nest directly. Cancellations and/or modifications by text, by email and/or directly with the babysitter will not be honored.

PRIVACY POLICY

We will ensure that any information obtained from you is treated as private and confidential by us and anyone else involved in arranging, considering to arrange, or managing your childcare placement.

Any information collected by the memory nest will be secured and treated as confidential. The memory nest database of client and babysitters information is securely protected against unauthorised entry.

Details of clients and/or babysitters will not be used for any purpose other than the one specified, and will not be sold or released to any mailing list or any other interested party. Details will be kept for a period of time in accordance with the GDPR guidelines and Data Protection Act 1998.

FIRST AID

Our babysitters able to take action to apply first aid treatment in the event of an accident involving a child whilst in their care. Our babysitters are first aid qualified and first aid equipment is to be provided by the parents.

MISSING CHILD

Children’s safety is our highest priority and to ensure the security of children is maintained at all times, if you require your child to be taken out of the home (e.g to the park), In the unlikely event of a child going missing, our missing child procedure is followed.

  • If the child is not found, our babysitter calls the police immediately and reports the child as missing. If it is suspected that the child may have been abducted, the police are informed of this.

  • The parent(s) and the memory nest manager/director are then called and informed.

  • A recent photo and a note of what the child is wearing is given to the police.

SOCIAL MEDIA

The memory nest will never share any photos, names or personal details of any child in our care on social media without permission of parents first. In the case of an event or advertising we may ask parents permission to post a photo on social media. Written consent forms will need to be signed first.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
