About me:
My name is Danielle Jaeger, I am thirty six years old and I grew up in Bergvliet, Cape Town, South Africa, with my parents and younger brother. I attended Springfield Convent for fourteen years, in Wynberg, Cape Town. Once I matriculated I attended Capsicum Culinary school in Pinelands and then went overseas to England, where I travelled and worked. I returned back home to Cape Town in August 2009. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to travel or go on mini adventures. I love taking pictures and baking for friends and family. I also enjoy going for walks especially on the beaches in Cape Town, reading, visiting markets and new places. When I’m completely relaxed I enjoy reading a few chapters of a book or listening to a podcast. I love to travel and go on adventures even if it is an hour's drive away from home.

My Childcare experience:
I started my Montessori teaching studies in Kenilworth in January 2010-December 2012. After I graduated I worked in the nursery under the college and I au paired for different families during those years. I moved to London, England in January 2015 and started working there at different Montessori nurseries over the years in London and I have done a lot of ad hoc child care and over night stays. While I was in Cape Town, I babysat for my neighbours children and their friends. I au paired for three families and as part of my chef course I worked in restaurants and a bakery in Cape Town. I have also housesat as well and worked at Virgin Active Steenberg (Cape Town) at the reception desk and in the children’s area.

What do I enjoy most about working with children?
I love being around children for their pure honesty and fun. As adults we can learn so much from children. I thoroughly enjoy watching them learn, grow, play and finding their own path. Each child is so different and therefore has their own individuals needs, which I think is often forgotten especially in a traditional setting. I especially enjoy observing children become independent and watching that independence thrive.
