Soft Play Hire Waiver & Liability Agreement

A paper copy of this waiver will be provided and must be signed in person at the time of booking.

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that participation in the soft play activities involves inherent risks including, but not limited to:

Falls, slips, trips, or collisions.
Injuries from climbing, sliding, or using the equipment.
Minor bruising or scratches.

I accept that The Memory Nest cannot be held responsible for injuries sustained while using the equipment.

2. Supervision

Children using the soft play equipment must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Adults must ensure that children follow safe play rules.
The Memory Nest staff are responsible only for setup and collection, not supervision during play.

3. Equipment Use

Equipment must be used as intended and on a flat, safe surface.
Shoes must be removed when children are using the equipment and socks kept on.
Food, drink, face paint, glitter, pens and sharp objects are strictly prohibited in the play area.
Maximum number of children on each piece of equipment must not exceed recommended capacity of two children.

4. Damage & Loss

Any damage caused to the equipment during the hire period may result in charges to the customer.
A minimum damage fee of £30 will apply for minor damage; for major damage or lost items, the customer is responsible for full replacement cost.
All equipment must remain in the venue until collected by The Memory Nest staff.

5. Medical Conditions

Parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical conditions (e.g., epilepsy, asthma, allergies) prior to use.
The Memory Nest is not responsible for any medical incidents arising during use.

6. Liability Waiver

I hereby release and hold harmless The Memory Nest, its employees, and contractors from any liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the soft play equipment, including claims for personal injury, property damage, or consequential loss.

7. Cancellation & Weather Policy

Bookings may be cancelled with 3 days notice; for the booking fee of £80 to be refunded. Deposits are non-refundable.
If outdoor equipment is hired, The Memory Nest may cancel due to unsafe weather (rain, strong wind).
Rescheduling will be offered where possible.

8. Photography & Media Consent (Optional)

I consent / do not consent (circle one) for photographs or video of children using the equipment to be used for marketing, social media, or promotional purposes by The Memory Nest.

9. Acceptance

By signing below, I confirm that:

I have read, understood, and accept the terms of this waiver.
I am legally responsible for the children in my care during the hire period.
I understand that supervision is my responsibility and agree to follow all safety instructions.
